Music Therapy is appropriate for all ages and areas of need.
It can help address a variety of needs:
- Speech & Language
- Mobility (fine and gross)
- Auditory Processing
- Social Skills
- Sensory Regulation
- Impulse Control
- Emotion Management
A Board Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC) will create an assessment during the first 1-2 sessions, evaluating further areas of need. Consulting with caregiver(s) and other therapists might be requested to complement other interventions that are already being used. Goals and objectives are then created and data is tracked to reflect progress made during sessions. Documentation is created and made available at the client and/or caregivers' request.
